2025 Candidate for ARIN Advisory Council

I am running for a seat on the ARIN Advisory Council. My candidacy stands on a foundation of real engagement with ARIN staff and the community, proven experience in policy discussions, and a dedication to ensuring the Internet’s future is built by all of us, together.

Track Record with ARIN: I have actively participated in ARIN policy discussions, submitting and commenting on proposals that address IPv4 transition efficiency, natural person resource issuance, and IPv6 adoption. I've been selected as a fellow for ARIN 56 which further reflects direct collaboration with ARIN staff and active involvement in the community’s policy dialogue.

Community Engagement: My work with the Paducah Internet Exchange and Quad State Internet has brought me into collaboration with many network operators across the region. Working closely with other network operators has given me first hand experience into the core issues that small and medium sized ISPs and Enterprise Networks face. I will use my position on the AC to further the mission of fairness and equity for all networks utilizing resources from ARIN.

A History of Collaboration: The Advisory Council thrives on consensus-building, and my experience working with ARIN staff, Internet Exchange operators, and ISPs of all sizes shows my ability to bring people together. I believe in pragmatic solutions, listening first, and ensuring every voice is valued, from large incumbents to small rural providers.

Understanding of the PDP: I have deep familiarity with ARIN’s Policy Development Process and understand how proposals evolve from draft to implementation. I’ve introduced proposals through discussion, engaged with community feedback, and ensured alignment with ARIN’s principles of fairness and transparency. This experience equips me to serve effectively on the Council from day one.

In 2025, our candidacy for ARIN Advisory Council is about amplifying the voices of operators, defending fairness, and ensuring that ARIN policies remain responsive to the realities of those building the Internet every day.

Leading with Regulatory Experience

This mission is not limited to building networks, it extends into the complex world of regulation and public policy. I have direct experience working with Public Service Commissions (PSC), municipal regulators, and state agencies to secure fair access to rights-of-way, poles, and infrastructure. This hands-on regulatory work has given me deep insight into the intersection between policy and operations, where decisions directly affect deployment timelines, costs, and community outcomes.

By engaging in hearings, submitting comments, and navigating PSC processes, I have advocated for rules that encourage competition, lower barriers to entry, and accelerate broadband expansion. This regulatory background ensures that our movement isn’t just technical: it’s also grounded in the practical realities of governance. Supporting our candidacy means supporting a leader who can bridge the gap between regulators, operators, and the communities that depend on reliable connectivity.

At the end of the day, this vision is lead by the art of the possible combined with consensus buidling, the pillars of effective regulatory policy development.

The Internet Revolution Begins with Us

We stand together at the start of a new Internet revolution. Our work is more than just building fiber or operating exchanges; it is about reclaiming the Internet as a community-driven infrastructure. We are here to ensure that every policy, every connection, and every decision reflects the values of openness, equity, and opportunity. Together, we can take the power of the Internet and put it back into the hands of the people it serves.

This mission isn’t mine alone, it belongs to all of us. By supporting this effort, we join forces to build networks that empower rather than exclude, to establish exchanges that welcome rather than gatekeep, and to shape policies that promote fairness. Our revolution is about partnership, resilience, and determination, ensuring that no community is left behind in the digital future.

Empowering Small Networks to Lead the Charge

Our revolution means lifting up small networks, local ISPs, and community operators so they can lead the charge into the future. We know the challenges they face limited resources, high costs, and entrenched incumbents but we also know their potential. By standing with them, we dismantle barriers and open new pathways for growth, innovation, and collaboration. Each IXP we support, each connection we establish, adds strength to our collective cause.

Together, we prove that small does not mean powerless. We prove that when we pool resources and share knowledge, we become more than competitors we become allies in building a stronger, fairer Internet. Supporting this mission is not about backing one individual, but about advancing an entire movement that ensures everyone, no matter their size, can claim their rightful place in the global Internet community.

A Call to Transform Internet Governance

We cannot wait for change to come from above, we must create it ourselves. Our call is to transform Internet governance into something that listens, responds, and adapts to the needs of real operators and real communities. We demand transparency, fairness, and a governance model that evolves with the technology it seeks to regulate. Together, we will make sure that policies don’t just serve the powerful few, but serve every network that builds the Internet from the ground up.

This is not a distant vision; it is a revolution already in motion. By uniting our voices and our actions, we make certain that the policies guiding our digital future reflect our shared values. Supporting this movement means joining hands with every builder, operator, and advocate who believes the Internet must remain open, equitable, and sustainable for all.

Driving Change Through Action

We are not here to wait for change, we are here to drive it. Our revolution is proven in every action: drafting proposals that expand fairness, building infrastructure that reduces costs, and championing IPv6 adoption to future-proof the networks of tomorrow. We do not speak in hypotheticals; we act, and our actions create real, measurable impact across communities and industries.

Each milestone is a testament to what we accomplish together. From authoring policy to launching IXPs, from deploying IPv6 to defending fairness in allocation, our work is tangible proof of the revolution we are building. Supporting this mission means standing with a movement that is bold, relentless, and committed to reshaping the Internet for everyone’s benefit.
